God's Gift Part 1

How to Save a Life
You don't have to know CPR to know how to save a life. If you're a christian, you already know God's life-saving message of salvation. So why aren't you sharing it with those closest to you?

As a senior, Tony Vinson, The president of Central High's Future Farmers of America, was voted most likely to succeed. He served as a state FFA officer, made good grades, and was an excellent speaker. On top of all that, Tony was a committed follower of Christ & showed a genuine interest in those among his peers who did not claim to be Christians.

Rocky Ladner, Tony's best friend & an officer in the school's FFA chapter, was also a dedicated Christian. He & Tony were active members of their church's youth group. Roger Jenson, another student who was also an FFA officer, often worked closely with Tony & Rocky. Most afternoons, the three of them would meet after school at Tony's home to work together on FFA projects. Tony & Rocky knew Roger wasn't a Christian, but he was their friend. They built a relationship with him and live their lives for Christ in front of him.

The guys also continued reaching out to Roger, inviting him to church but Roger always had an excuse for why he couldn't accept their invitations. Roger likedthe guys, but he didn't really understand them.

The three guys worked well together; but as the friendship grew, Roger began to appear more & more uncomfortable in their meetings. Often, he was negative & quick to argue. At school, he began avoiding Tony & Rockyas much as he could.

Tony & Rocky didn't understand what was going on. They had never pressured Roger about his relationship with Christ, though they had invited him to church many times.

Sensing that they were about to lose his friendship, they agreed to pray for Roger everyday. They spoke with their youth minister, Sam Baker, about Roger and asked for his advice.

They were surprised when Sam told them that Roger'[s attitude toward them was a good sign. Obviously Roger saw something in their lives that he didn't have. He didn't know what it was, and his natural reaction was resentment.

Sam said," that is evidence that the Holy Spirit is using your quiet testimony to convict Roger of his need for God in his life. He may have no idea right now what is happening to him. You have to continued to reach out to him & show kindness to him in spite of everything. He is becoming more & more miserable.

"We never thought of that Sam," Tony said. "But what can we do? time is running out. In a month we'll all graduate, and we may not see Roger again. He's not going to the same college we are."

Sam had a few word of wisdom for the guys. "Just remember that the same God who gave you a desire to reach Roger is working on him, too" he said. "Continue praying for him. Never let your attitude toward him change."

A few days later, Roger seemed even more hostile toward Tony & Rocky. Until one day, Roger asked them if they could meet after school. That afternoon, hardly knowing how to begin, Roger apologized for the way he had been acting. He explained that he didn't even know why. He had realized that he was destroying their friendship.

Rocky & Tony finally had the opportunity they'd praying about. They talked about their faith with Roger. They told him how they had accepted Christ as their savior. Roger agreed to come to Sunday School the following Sunday. He started attending regularly till one Sunday morning, Roger answered the pastor's invitation & declared his faith in Christ. By that time, the entire youth group had begun praying for Roger. They literally swarmed him at the close of that Sunday morning service. Amid tears of joy, they accepted Roger as a fellow believer & committed themselves to helping him grow his faith.

God's Gift
Last week, the result of new born screening was released & our worries finally ends. It is also our babies first month. A celebration of life by God's grace.A blessing I didn't deserve that why I will forever be grateful, then again that why its called God's grace
.

Last year, I clearly remember how it began, how happy I am to have a baby & how frightened I am to live up to my growing responsibility as father. Futher, the joy & pressure increases after we have found out that she is carrying a twins. Everything is going well, till we found the result of the 2nd ultrasound.

Trivia: Did you know that roses bear fruits?
These fruits are called rosehips or rose haw. It is one of the richest sources of Vitamin C with about 1700-2000mg per 100g in the dried product. In fact, study conducted by the Department of Science & Technology revealed that rosehip has more Vitamin C than calamansi, orange, mangoes & papayas.

Announcement:
In behalf of my wife, I would like to take this opportunity to thank those people who have prayed & supported us through out this couple of months. Truly your prayer has done us a big help/ miracle. God heard our/your Prayer. God Bless!
